Vega BS-3 gateway is designed to deploy LoRaWAN® network within 863-870 MHz frequency plan. Gateway is a central element of network deployment based on LoRaWAN® technology and operates like transparent gateway between end nodes and a server.
The Vega BS-3 gateway has 16 channels and the ability to connect an expansion card that allows the gateway to work on 64 channels.
The gateway communicates with the server through Ethernet either 3G/LTE network.
The duralumin case is equipped with an tamper and a lightning conductor that is providing vandal-proof execution.
Moreover the third generation gateway has an absolutely new function which is geolocation - it's a possibility to determine the end device location by the gateways signals while end device is located in the coverage area of three or more Bega BS-3 gateways at the time.
Gateway has pre-installed built-in software based on Linux operation system.
We recommend to use an antenna 868-01-A10 with 10 dBi gain with BS-3 gateway.
The specified characteristics of the communication range were achieved in various full-scale experiments. The actual communication range depends on many factors and requires measurement in specific conditions using network tester. More information about network deployment and recommendations for placing a gateway you could find in the «Network Deployment Manual».
Price is specified for 16 channel gateway.
